The idea

Soft Systems began as a study in contrast: rigid structures made gentle, precise forms that still leave room to breathe, and a limited palette that feels warm rather than strict.

The project explores how a few materials can create a complete visual language. Translucent pink carries the personality, paper provides movement, and chrome adds one sharp point of reflection.

The approach

I worked with a small set of rules instead of a fixed outcome:

  • Keep the palette quiet.
  • Let every object remain recognizable.
  • Use empty space as part of the composition.
  • Stop before the arrangement feels overworked.

The final result is less about a single image and more about a way of making decisions: clear, light, and a little unexpected.

What I learned

Constraints can make creative work feel more open. With fewer choices, every shift in scale, material, and position becomes more meaningful.
